Brain always goes blank when we gotta talk about ourselves, but maybe it's out of fear of being misunderstood; culturally, physically, mentally, soul-wise (if that's a word).
I think one of the greatest achievements and lessons I've learnt and been figuring out lately is to reframe how I move; instead of moving out of fear and survival, to move out of love and desire, subtle, banal, but true.
The world is like a galloping horse and you kind of start hating and fearing the horse. If I ever write a memoir it will be called "How I learnt to love and hate the horse."
Some of my other achievements are in the films I've been part of, the stories I've written, the craft of acting that I've nurtured at Terry Knickerbocker Studio; but those are all just small bubbles of who I am.
I guess the thing I'm mostly proud of is growing up on the back of this turbulent horse across the streets of Varna, Rome, London, and New York, and not only surviving but being capable of love and openness.
"Let everything happen to you: beauty and terror. Just keep going. No feeling is final."
— R. M. Rilke
